How the CBS import works

CBS has no public league API, so RotoHound reads your league through the RotoHound Chrome extension. Open your CBS league in Chrome with the extension installed, click Import, and every roster, the scoring rules, and the standings come across. On later visits the extension keeps the league current in the background, so RotoHound is always scoring the rosters CBS shows today.

Trade impact in standings points

Pick the two teams and the players on each side. RotoHound applies the trade to both rosters, rebuilds each lineup, and recalculates the projected league standings. The result is the number of standings points each side gains or loses, so a trade offer becomes a concrete number instead of a gut call.

Category-by-category breakdown

Every scoring category shows its before and after. You can see which categories the trade helps, which it costs, and how the rest of the league moves around you. Points leagues get the same treatment in projected points.

What RotoHound reads from a CBS league

CBS scoring rules import as they are: rotisserie or head-to-head, categories or CBS points. Whether lineups take effect daily or weekly comes from the league’s rules page, and the CBS standard roster (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, three OF, Util, five P, seven bench, three IL) is the starting preset, adjusted to your league’s slots.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the Chrome extension for CBS?

Yes. CBS does not offer a way to read a league without a signed-in browser, so the extension is how RotoHound sees it. It reads the league pages you can already see; it does not change anything on CBS.

Does the CBS import work on a phone?

The first import needs desktop Chrome with the extension. Once the league is in, every RotoHound tool works on a phone.

How does RotoHound score a trade?

It applies the trade to both rosters, rebuilds each team’s lineup, projects every team’s rest-of-season stats, and recalculates the league standings. The score is the change in projected standings points for each side, using your league’s exact categories or point values.

Does it work for points leagues and head-to-head?

Yes. RotoHound models rotisserie and head-to-head leagues, category and points scoring, and custom formats, including platform presets for Yahoo, ESPN, CBS, and FanGraphs points.

Where do the projections come from?

RotoHound publishes its own rest-of-season projections, updated daily. You can also upload projections from FanGraphs or any other source, and every tool uses whichever system you set as your default. The methodology page explains how the built-in projections are made and how they benchmark against Steamer and ZiPS. Read the methodology

Is RotoHound free?

Yes. RotoHound is free for the 2026 season with a free account.
